4K supplies infra for new building Elia
Elia manages Belgium’s high voltage electrical grid. This grid covers well over 8.000 kilometers electrical cabling, above and under ground.
At the Léon Monnoyerkaai in Brussels Elia started building its new 10.000 square meter office last year. This new building will be the home of 300 Elia technicians and is especially designed for leaving the smallest ecological footprint possible. The new Elia building is possibly being assigned a BREEAM (Building Research Establishment Environmental Assessment Method) and a “Passiefhuis” certificate.
The building itself hosts 2000 R&M network connections and a stunning 96.000 kilometers cabling, all installed by contractors VMA and Guana. Next to being durable and ecological, the new Elia building is also future-proof when it comes to its data infrastructure.
