Cyber-attack has been resolved

Cyber attack on our ICT service provider has been resolved

On Friday 2 July, our ICT service provider was hit by a ransomware attack, which encrypted our systems and data. Our IT provider had no choice but to hand over the ransom of around 252,000 euros in bitcoins to the hacker group.

No data breach

Our IT provider had the cyber-attack investigated by a specialised security company. Their results indicate that no customer data has been stolen. Also, in terms of security, everything indicates that our IT provider was not guilty of the ransomware attack.

4K situation

This week, our IT provider sets up a completely new server environment on which a new version of our ERP system is installed. The transfer of our data to that system may take several days. We expect to be fully operational again after our collective leave from 19 July to 1 August.

Hacking is apparently a phenomenon that can no longer be denied in the digital world. You can arm yourself against it but, as it turns out, it offers no guarantee.
