On Friday 2 July, our ICT provider was hit by a ransomware attack. You may have already heard about it in the news or on social media.

Ransomware is a form of crime in which hackers penetrate the IT systems of companies and lock down data. As a result, the data is no longer accessible. The hackers then demand payment (often in crypto currencies) to unlock the data.

What are the consequences for 4K

All data of our provider and customers of our provider were affected, including our data.

Specifically, we currently have no access to our ERP system (stock, order processing, invoicing, logistics management, etc.). As a result, our operations are severely disrupted at the moment.

We deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause you. We will do our utmost to remain at your service.

Regarding your orders

  • Running orders: Please let us know by phone or mail which order is urgent for you, so we can provide a suitable solution.
  • New orders: Do you want an immediate delivery? Please contact us by phone or mail.

Our provider is working with specialists from the Computer Crime Unit of the Federal Judicial Police and with ransomware specialists to stop this attack, so that we can start up again safely. Only then will we be able to access our data and systems again.
